Tracking Code

Each website has one small script that counts visits. The Tracking Code page shows it for the website in view, with a Copy button.

Where to put it

• Paste it once, before the closing </head> tag, on every page you want counted.
• WordPress: ask whoever manages your Press Mage account for the Mage Stats plugin for this site, or paste the code with a header/footer plugin.
• Any HTML site: paste it into the shared header or footer template.
• Google Tag Manager: add a Custom HTML tag containing the code, fired on All Pages.
• Site builders: use the "code injection" or "custom code" setting for the header.

Once the code is live, the first visit shows up within a few minutes. The Check tracking health link takes you to the health page for confirmation.

The code is safe to paste anywhere. It sets no cookies and collects no personal data.
