Managing your links
Links lists every link in the workspace.
Finding links
The filter bar applies itself as you type or choose:
- Search by alias, title or destination.
- Status and Campaign filters.
- Sort by Newest first, Oldest first, Most human clicks or Title A–Z.
- Rows per page: 15, 30, 50 or 100.
Switch between Cards and Table layouts. A count such as "Showing 1–15 of 87" sits above the results, with page controls at the top and bottom.
Cards show the title (or alias), status, short URL, destination, campaign, human clicks and total requests, with Copy link, Edit and View stats. Table shows the same information in rows, plus the created date on wide screens; click a link's name to open its analytics.
Export CSV (for roles that can export) downloads every link with its short URL, alias, title, destination, campaign, status, redirect type, start, expiry and created dates.
Editing a link
Click Edit to change the destination, title, campaign, UTM tags, status, redirect type, dates and notes, then Save changes. A changed destination takes effect for visitors straight away.
The alias of an existing link cannot be changed. The Edit page still shows the alias field, and a note warning that changing the alias stops the old one working, but if you save a different alias you see The alias of an existing link cannot be changed. Create a new link for a new alias. and nothing is saved. If you need a different address, create a new link.
Link statuses
| Status | What visitors get | Counts against your allowance |
|---|---|---|
| Active | Redirected to the destination (within any Starts and Expires dates) | Yes |
| Scheduled | Redirected, within any Starts and Expires dates | Yes |
| Disabled | A "turned off" page | No |
| Expired | An "expired" page | No |
| Archived | An "archived" page | No |
The Starts and Expires dates are what actually open and close a link. Setting the status to Scheduled on its own does not delay a link; give it a Starts date. Statuses only change when you change them: when a link's Starts date arrives or its Expires date passes, its status stays as it was, even though visitors now get the link (or the "expired" page). Scheduled and Expired are labels you can set for your own tracking; an Expired status turns the link off just like a passed Expires date.
Archiving a link
Archive link at the bottom of the Edit page (for roles that can delete links) stops the link resolving immediately. Its click history is kept: archiving never deletes analytics. There is no permanent delete. An archived link stays in the Links list with an Archived badge (the Archive panel says it disappears from the default list, but the list shows every status unless you filter it), and you can bring it back by editing it and setting its status to Active, if your allowance has room. To hide archived links, choose a status in the Status filter.
Your active-link allowance
Your plan allows a certain number of active links. Active and Scheduled links count; Disabled, Expired and Archived links do not.
- When you are getting close, a notice at the top of the Links page tells you how many active links are left.
- At the limit, you cannot create a link or switch one back on. Disable or archive a link to free up room (its click history is kept and it can be switched back on later), or raise your allowance. See the Mage URL solution page.
- If your workspace is over its allowance, for example after a plan change, nothing is switched off. Your existing links keep working and can still be edited; you just cannot add more until you are back under.
The allowance is also shown under Your plan in Workspace settings.
