Blogs

A blog profile tells Mage Engage how the brand writes long-form articles for one blog. Mage Planner plans articles for active blogs, and Add article can write to a blog's settings. Open Brand → Blogs. The Owner and Administrators can create and edit blog profiles.

Creating a blog profile with Mage AI

  • Use AI To Create from Archive Link. Give the profile a name and the blog's Archive page address (the page that lists its posts). Mage AI reads it and up to three of the newest posts, then writes a profile that matches how that blog writes. If the archive page doesn't list posts clearly, paste up to three Post addresses instead.
  • Use AI to Design One Based on Brand. Give the profile a name and click Suggest three concepts. Mage AI suggests three blog ideas from what it knows about the brand. Click Use this one on the one you like, or Suggest three more. Mage AI then writes the full profile.

Both use AI Credits, and nothing is charged if a step fails. The profile is saved when it is done, and you can change anything afterwards.

Setting up a blog profile yourself

New blog profile opens the form. The main sections are:

  • Identity. Profile name, blog or publication name, website and blog URLs, description, content priority, and Active (whether Mage Planner may plan articles for it).
  • Audiences, products and pillars. Leave a group empty to allow all of the brand's.
  • Articles. Typical, minimum and maximum length in words; Point of view; Reading level; and Article types allowed (none ticked means all).
  • Publishing schedule. Articles per month, Preferred time (in the brand's time zone), Preferred days, Promotion intensity (None to Strong), products it may promote, Write with SEO in mind and Every article needs a featured image.
  • Publishing. Articles are written as drafts for you to publish by hand: choose Draft only with the integration None — export and publish by hand. The form also lists Automatic (when an integration is connected), but no blog integration is available yet, so saving with Automatic is refused.

Expandable sections add detail on audience and purpose, topics, writing, SEO, brand promotion, categories and tags, images, and blog-specific AI instructions. Fill in only what is specific to this blog; brand identity, voice and products come from the brand.
