Review and approval
Every post page has a Workflow and Approval panel. It shows where the post is (Draft, Submitted, Reviewed, Approved, Scheduled and Published, as numbered steps) and holds every workflow action in one place.
Does the brand require approval?
The panel says either This brand requires approval before publishing or Approval is optional for this brand. The Owner and Administrators set this with Require approval before publishing on the brand's Edit page.
When approval is required:
- A post only publishes once it has been approved.
- Editing an approved post's title, core message, content goal, call to action or call-to-action URL sends it back for review.
- Scheduled posts that are not approved do not publish.
When approval is optional, the review steps show as optional and you can schedule drafts directly.
The actions
- Submit for review. Sends a draft or idea to review. Everyone who can approve is notified.
- Approve. Reviewers, Administrators and the Owner. The person who submitted it is notified.
- Send back with a note. Write what needs to change and click Send back to draft. The note is shown on the post as Reviewer note.
- Schedule and Publish now. See Scheduling and publishing.
The Posts list shows a banner when posts are waiting for review, linking to them.
An approved post that is not on the schedule yet says so: it will not publish until it is scheduled.
