Campaigns

A campaign is a dated push, such as a launch, a promotion or a season. Its posts appear on the brand calendar, and its page tracks how it is going. Content Creators, Administrators and the Owner can manage campaigns.

Building a campaign with AI

On Campaigns, click Build a campaign with AI (or New Post → Create a campaign). Say What should the campaign do?, for example "Promote our spring launch for three weeks", and optionally the start and end dates, platforms, products and audiences. Click Propose a campaign.

Mage AI proposes the campaign (name, goal, description, dates, call to action, link, hashtags and messaging themes) and a list of post ideas, each with a time, idea, angle, pillar, product and audience. If it could not work something out, it says so. Adjust anything, untick ideas you don't want, and click Create campaign and drafts. The ticked posts are written as Drafts with a version for each platform. Planning and writing each use AI Credits. Discard creates nothing.

Creating a campaign yourself

New Campaign asks for:

  • Campaign name, Status and Content priority (Mage Planner gives a running campaign's products and topics more room).
  • Goal, Description, Start date, End date and Posting frequency.
  • Social networks, Products / services, Audiences and Content pillars.
  • Campaign CTA, Campaign URL and Hashtags.
  • UTM tags, used when the campaign's posts shorten links with Mage URL.
  • Campaign instructions and AI generation instructions.

The campaign page

The page shows the status and dates, the goal and description, the linked products, audiences and pillars, counts of scheduled, draft, published and failed posts, the Content pillar distribution, Platforms used, and a Timeline of its posts. New Post adds a post to it. Edit and Delete are at the top; deleting a campaign keeps its posts.

Campaign status

A campaign is Draft, Active, Paused, Completed or Archived.

  • A Draft campaign's scheduled posts still publish. It becomes Active by itself once its start date comes and it has a scheduled post, or when one of its posts publishes. Mark active does it now.
  • An Active campaign with an end date becomes Completed by itself after that date.
  • If you choose a status by hand, it no longer changes by itself.

If Mage URL is connected, the page also shows whether the campaign has been added there.
