Getting around

The sidebar

The left-hand panel holds everything. On small screens it hides behind the menu button at the top left.

  • Active brand. A drop-down of your brands. The active brand scopes everything else: the calendar, posts, campaigns, media and every brand section. Choose another brand to switch.
  • The brand's time zone sits under the selector, with its offset from UTC. Owners and Administrators can click it to change it.
  • Dashboard (the content calendar), Mage Planner, Posts, Articles, Campaigns, Media Library, Content Pillars and Brand.
  • Admin (Owner and Administrators): Activity, Notifications (with an unread count), AI Credits, Integrations and Manage Brands.
  • Your name and email open your profile. Sign out is next to them. If you don't see the Admin group, a bell icon here opens your notifications.

The version number of Mage Engage is shown under the logo.

The Brand menu

Brand in the sidebar opens the active brand's workspace, starting at its Profile. At present only the Owner and Administrators can open it: for Content Creators, Reviewers, Publishers and Viewers, clicking Brand shows a "This action is unauthorized" page. Its sections are grouped:

Group Sections
Identity Profile, Voice, Refresh from website
Knowledge Facts, AI Guidance, Intelligence, Sources
Offer Products & Services, Audiences
Publishing Blogs, Holidays, Publishing, Schedule
AI Content Intelligence, Image Sets

If you open another brand's Profile or Voice from Manage Brands, only the Identity group shows. Switch to that brand in the selector to see the rest.

Time zones

Every brand has a time zone. The calendar, scheduling, Mage Planner and each blog's preferred time use it, and you enter times in it. Times are stored in UTC behind the scenes.

If your browser is in a different time zone from the brand, a switch appears under the brand's time zone: Show times in my time zone. Turn it on to see times in your own zone on that browser. A notice then appears at the top of every page, "Times shown in … (your browser), not the brand's …", with Switch back. Mage Planner's posting window always uses the brand's zone, whichever zone you view times in.

Working with Mage AI

Anything Mage AI does uses AI Credits, and the button or page usually tells you roughly how many. Longer jobs (drafting a brand, writing posts, planning, writing articles) run in the background: the page shows that Mage AI is working and refreshes itself. You can leave and come back.
